About the Council
Mission : The mission of the Tax Council is to provide an effective forum to discuss tax matters relevant to members of AMCHAM, inform members of changes and requirements on individual and corporate tax matters, and pursue advocacy on their behalf.
2025 Highlights:
- Held four quarterly meetings, providing in-depth updates on topics affecting members such as tax audit procedures; tax-free mergers of
Thai entities; E-tax invoices; and a BEPS 2.0 Pillar 2 update. - Together with the Customs & Excise Council, conducted a Transfer Pricing Workshop with over 70 participating Customs Department
officials, designed to share knowledge and practices from other countries for better alignment between the Customs Department and private
sector on the issue, as well as to open doors for AMCHAM resources offered to the Thai government for future collaboration. - Led AMCHAM delegation in the Working Meeting with the Board of Investment (BOI) on Qualified Refundable Tax Credits (QRTC). Prepared a Recommendation Paper on the Implementation of the QRTC, which was shared with the BOI.
