AMCHAM Strengthens Business Engagement in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor
On October 9, the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) brought together business leaders and professionals in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), hosting a multi-chamber networking event in Pattaya alongside discussions on workforce development and advanced manufacturing.
The Multi-Chamber Eastern Economic Corridor Networking event, held at the Holiday Inn Pattaya, was organized with AustCham, BCCT, BeLuThai, CanCham, FTCC, GTCC, ITCC, NTCC, SATCC, and STCC. The event was sponsored by Ferrara Jelly Belly and Vantive Healthcare.
Ahead of the networking event, AMCHAM Human Capital and Advanced Manufacturing Committees hosted a discussion on Employer-Led Skills Development in Thailand’s Aging Society. Ibrahim Kocagoz of PCS Security & Facility Services; Seksan Chittanusart of Analog Devices (Thailand); and Silvio Illi of Auto Alliance Thailand; shared how companies are responding through workforce reskilling, industry–education collaboration, technology adoption and new approaches to attracting, developing and retaining talent.
In the morning, the AMCHAM Advanced Manufacturing Committee hosted a plant tour of Chonburi Clean Energy (CCE), which specializes in converting non-hazardous industrial waste into sustainable, renewable power for factories and estates within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Attendees toured the plant facilities and gained insights into comprehensive waste management and advanced thermal conversion processes, observing firsthand how CCE treats customer waste with end-to-end traceability and full environmental compliance in accordance with Veolia Global standards.
The events reflect AMCHAM’s role in connecting businesses and industry stakeholders in the EEC, one of Thailand’s key areas for investment and industrial development. Through its committees and events, AMCHAM provides a forum for companies to exchange expertise, address business challenges and develop connections across the region.
