AMCHAM Corporate Impact Awards

At AMCHAM, we are proud of what our member companies do to give back to Thailand and Thai society, making the business and social environment better for all of us.

To honor these efforts, AMCHAM awards Corporate Impact Recognition to companies that demonstrate an advanced understanding of the linkages between business operations and society and conduct business in a way that creates long-term economic and social value. Our goal is to identify excellence, not just through individual projects or monetary contributions, but through good internal strategy and systems to support sustainable business and integrate it throughout the company’s business practices. In 2025, 117 AMCHAM members received Recognition status. In addition, each year we grant a few Special Awards for exceptional individual projects that represent the best of sustainability programming.

Throughout the year, our Corporate Impact Committee conducts year-long programs including events to share best practices, provide support and resources for member companies who are developing or improving their sustainability strategies, as well as build a network of CSR and sustainability professionals to magnify the positive impacts.

Each November, in Thanksgiving week, AMCHAM hosts the AMCHAM Corporate Impact Awards Gala Dinner to celebrate our award winners.

Corporate Impact Recognition

AMCHAM awards Corporate Impact Recognition each year to companies whose overall business practices meet a benchmark of sustainability excellence. In addition, we recognize different tiers for companies who receive this award in consecutive years:

Silver level: 3 consecutive years
Gold level: 5 consecutive years
Platinum level: 10 consecutive years

Our Special Awards honor individual projects that show their excellence under specific themes. The 2026 special award category are:

What is the Corporate Impact Awards Program?

AMCHAM Corporate Impact Awards is a signature AMCHAM program. The program was designed to highlight the notable contributions AMCHAM member companies have made to operating a sustainable business in Thailand and giving back to Thai society.

The purpose of the program is to identify and share corporate impact practices that:

Understand the linkages between business operations and society.
Conduct business sustainably to create both long-term economic and social value; and
Nurture the widespread adoption of sustainable business practices in Thailand.

The Corporate Impact Awards recognizes good internal strategy and systems to support corporate sustainability management, not individual projects. Individual corporate sustainability development projects are recognized through special awards.

Why do we have this program?

The AMCHAM Board of Governors and the Corporate Impact Committee highlight the efforts of member companies with the following goals:

Raising awareness of social impact investment among AMCHAM members.
Providing recognition to member firms with exemplary sustainability development /CSR programs.
Gathering information on best practices in sustainability management to share with all AMCHAM member companies.
Furthering AMCHAM’s corporate impact and developing leadership among foreign chambers in Thailand.

What are the levels of Corporate Impact Awards? 

Recognition for Corporate Impact Awards will be granted as follows:

Recognition: A company that passes the set evaluation based on their application survey
Silver level: A company that receives recognition for at least three consecutive years.
Gold level: A company that receives recognition for at least five consecutive years.
Platinum level: A company that receives recognition for at least ten consecutive years.

What are the Special Awards?

Starting in 2016, the awards program provided companies that achieved exceptional scores in numerical evaluation with the opportunity to apply for a special award. These Special Awards honor internal or external projects that demonstrate excellence in CSR/sustainability programming.

The Special Awards are competitive and allow companies with outstanding CSR programs to receive recognition and potential awards for their efforts. Companies selected for the shortlist will have the opportunity to accept or decline consideration for the awards. However, companies that have received special awards in 2023, 2024, and 2025 are not eligible to receive special awards in 2026, as a three-year “cool off” period is required for past award winners.

Who can apply for Corporate Impact Recognition?

Recognition is open to all AMCHAM members who:

Demonstrate a commitment to good sustainability practices;
Have a sustainability strategy in operation for at least one year (starting May 1, 2025); and
Are willing to share information with other AMCHAM members.

Where do I apply?

Complete the online application by August 10, 2026 deadline. Late applications will not be accepted

Are Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) held to the same standard as larger firms? 

SMEs are held to a lower numeric scoring threshold for Corporate Impact Awards, which is more in line with their budgets and capabilities. For the special awards, all semi-finalists/finalists are judged under the same criteria. Judges do take into account the size and scope of a CSR project compared to the size of the company.

What is the judging process for the Special Awards?

Eligible and qualified AMCHAM members are selected.
Top (for each special award) three go to semi-finals (invitation only).
Special Awards finalists are presented to the judging panels.

All special award winners will be announced on the night of the Ceremony. Winners are NOT informed in advance if they have won a special award.

When are the awards announced and presented?

The Corporate Impact Awards recipients and the shortlist of special award finalists will be announced in early September. Special Awards Winners will be announced at the Ceremony without informing in advance.
