American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand Foundation (ATF)
Education has been a core value for AMCHAM since the very beginning of the Chamber. Over the last three decades, AMCHAM has provided over 3,100 scholarships, supported over 860 schools, and brought dozens of native speaking English teachers to rural schools.
In 2004, AMCHAM formally registered the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand Foundation (ATF) to carry out its charitable activities. The ATF is recognized by the Ministry of Finance as a Public Charitable Organization (number 632) and donations are deductible in Thailand.
100% of all cash donations go to scholarships and direct program costs. No donation money goes to overhead, as administrative support is provided entirely by AMCHAM staff and the Community Projects Council.
Each year ATF enables disadvantaged Thai university students to complete their university studies through targeted scholarships. Our Community Projects Council works directly with universities to identify hard-working and motivated students enrolled in programs championed by AMCHAM member companies,Show More
For our students, life skills are as critical to their success as their university studies. To prepare our graduates for the working world, ATF brings them together for a three-day career planning seminar in Bangkok. AMCHAM members donate time and resources to organize workshops on basic financial planning skills, resumeShow More
