The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit business organization. AMCHAM advocates the principles of free trade, open markets, private enterprise, the unrestricted flow of information, and ethical business practices. AMCHAM's mission is to create positive impact in the Kingdom of Thailand through capacity building, advocacy and networking for our members.

Universal Business Principles

It is fundamental to the philosophy of The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand that good ethics and good business are synonymous. AMCHAM believes that American business plays an important role as a catalyst for positive social change by promoting human welfare and the principles of free enterprise. AMCHAM recognizes that American companies already set the highest standards for ethical business practices. We encourage members to communicate information about their existing programs and practices relative to good corporate citizenship in the markets in which they operate.

AMCHAM Behavior Statement

During AMCHAM activities, members, stakeholders, guests and employees can freely and openly share ideas in a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment that encourages and inspires mutual respect and collaboration.

All parties should treat each other with dignity and respect. If disagreements or misunderstandings occur parties are encouraged to work together in a courteous manner in order to come to a solution acceptable for all.

The AMCHAM staff and Board of Governors are a resource for you and can be consulted on any matter affecting your membership with AMCHAM.

Harassment will not be tolerated in any form. If any party feels threatened or violated because of intimidating, harassing, abusive, bullying, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct, please immediately notify a member of the AMCHAM staff, or Board of Governors.

The AMCHAM Board of Governors will determine the need for suspension or expulsion in any dispute or complaint brought to their attention as per Chapter III, Article 14 of the AMCHAM Articles of Association.
