Revenue Department’s Consultation Meeting on Global Minimum Tax Pillar II
On May 18, AMCHAM Platinum members and Tax Council Co-Chairs, together with the Revenue Department under the Ministry of Finance, hosted a consultation meeting on Global Minimum Tax Pillar II. The discussion provided a consultative platform for AMCHAM delegates to receive updates and exchange views on Thailand’s legislative roadmap for implementing the Qualified Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax (QDMTT), anticipated developments on subsidiary legislations, including safe harbor provisions, and Qualified Refundable Tax Credits (QRTCs).
The session was well received and underscored Thailand’s commitment to aligning its domestic tax framework with Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) global standards It also reflected the authorities’ openness to constructive engagement and continued dialogue with the international business community.
