About the Committee
Mission: The Human Capital Committee supports workforce readiness in Thailand by fostering collaboration across the full spectrum of human resource development, from early education to employment. We provide a platform for members to exchange insights, share best practices, and champion initiatives that strengthen talent development and organizational capability nationwide.
2025 Highlights:
- Hosted an event on the 2025 Human Capital Trends report, with Mark Maclean and Desmond Lau of Deloitte unveiling the latest report results, followed by panel discussion with Jay Suvarnasuddhi of Agoda; Chris Meylan of the Asian Institute of Hospitality and Management (AIHM); and Natnisha Kongtaveesawas of Indorama Ventures, to discuss the practical implications of the report in their companies and fields.
- Organized a webinar on Getting Your U.S. Student Visa for parents of children preparing for their college educations in the U.S. featuring Leah George, Visa Chief and Amyre Brandom-Skinner, Vice Consul of the U.S. Embassy Bangkok.
- Jointly with the Tourism & Hospitality Council, hosted Building a Future Ready Workforce for Thailand’s Tourism Industry to explore challenges and opportunities in rebuilding this sector’s workforce post-Covid. Panel speakers included Phantajit Promkutkaew of the Tourism Authority of Thailand; Chalothorn Sumanasrethakul from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports; Bree Creaser of Minor Hotels; and Khemkhaeng Andrew Rohrbach, a recent graduate of AIHM.
- Jointly with the Inclusion Committee, hosted Breaking Barriers: Recognizing Discrimination and Transforming the Thai Workplace, which examined the subtle barriers that shape workplace experience. Neil Russell of Bangkok Silicon Solutions and Dusita Khanijou of Tilleke & Gibbins presented from both practical and legal perspectives.
