About the Council
Mission: To continually support the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand Foundation (ATF) in its mission to fund and manage the ATF Student Scholarship Program. Through provision of scholarships to disadvantaged university and vocational college students, ensure the Student Scholarship Program continues to have a positive impact on Thai communities and contributes to Thailand’s economic development.
2025 Highlights:
- Met monthly throughout the year to administer all aspects of the ATF scholarship program.
- Approved 35 new university scholarships and 18 new vocational scholarships for the 2025-26 school year, in addition to 64 continuing students, through the efforts of the Scholarship Selection Committee.
- Achieved over three million baht in fundraising through charity events such as the ChariTEE Golf Tournament and the Governor’s Gala Silent Auction, as well as through direct donations.
- Welcomed new students at a two-day Orientation Camp designed to empower students for academic success, with practical sessions on CPR, responsible drinking, digital literacy, and AI awareness.
- Hosted a three-day Career Camp for graduating students, with a focus on career skills workshops such as resume writing, interviewing and effective communication. Over 20 AMCHAM member HR professionals volunteered their time to conduct mock interviews and provide feedback. Students also were able to tour real life workplaces at member companies as well as the U.S. Embassy.
- More than 150 companies directly supported ATF programming throughout 2025, through volunteering to conduct workshops, mock interviews and host site visits; by providing goodie bags and prize donations; or through direct financial support.
