AMCHAM Discussed Mutual Goal on Human Resource Development with the Working Committee of the Eastern Economic Corridor Human Development Center (EEC-HDC)

On November 14, 2022, AMCHAM Board of Governor, John Evans of Tractus Asia, together with the Community Projects Council Co-Chair, Wanvisa Komindr of Citibank, led AMCHAM delegation to participate in a roundtable meeting with the Acting Vice President for EEC Affairs of Burapha University, Assistant Professor Nayot Kurukitkoson, representative of the Working Committee of the Eastern Economic Corridor Human Development Center (EEC-HDC).

In his presentation, Assistant Professor Nayot highlighted EEC-HDC’s human development scheme, focusing on the Demand Driven model of Module A (degree program) and Module B (non-degree program), with an objective to develop human capital to match the demand from the 12 targeted industries under the EEC. In this regard, AMCHAM presented its proposals to provide support to EEC-HDC by granting AMCHAM Thailand Foundation (ATF) scholarship for vocational students and offering other possible collaboration opportunities.

In conclusion, EEC-HDC and AMCHAM commit to the mutual goal of investing in human resources development to efficiently fulfill the labor market in the EEC and all economic zones in Thailand, which will contribute to Thailand’s sustainable economic advancement and enhanced competitiveness.
