AMCHAM Thailand Joined the Asia-Pacific Regional Business Delegation to Washington

Between July 17-20, the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) joined the AmChams of Asia Pacific (AAP) business delegation to Washington, DC to represent business in Thailand and to promote trade and investment between the two countries.

AMCHAM Thailand represents over 600 member companies and continues to promote shared economic prosperity between the US and Thailand. The focus of the trip was to engage in a dialogue around the launch of the Indo Pacific Economic Framework, which is now key to promoting prosperity in the region. “With a small group, representing 15 Asian markets, this was a great opportunity to listen to the latest developments firsthand and to provide feedback on our region” – said AMCHAM Executive Director Heidi Gallant.

AAP’s delegation supports US efforts to meet governments on shared interests such as addressing the climate crisis, post-pandemic economic recovery, technology innovations, and investment in green energy. During the three-day visit, AMCHAM Thailand participated in several meetings with the current US Administration, Think Tanks, and Opinion Leaders for networking, learning, and lobbying.

AAP is an umbrella organization of 27 American Chambers of Commerce that promotes trade and investment between the Asia Pacific region and the United States. Founded in 1968, the AmChams of Asia Pacific represents the shared interests of the US and international businesses that employ millions of people across the region and includes some of the world’s biggest manufacturing and trading entities.
