CSR Committee: CSR Award 2021 Information Session

On May 31, AMCHAM’s CSR Committee hosted the CSR Award 2021 Information Session. AMCHAM CSR Committee Co-Chairs, Jonathan Lembright, Regional Director, Institute of International Education; Prae Piromya, Deputy Chief of Party, CORE International; Sirikorn Lairungruang, Senior Assistant Legal Manager, YUM Restaurants; and Panomporn Yapakai, Corporate Engagement Manager, Kenan Foundation Asia; shared details of the AMCHAM CSR Awards to help member companies applying for the award this year understand the application process and the judging criteria.

Jonathan began the presentation with an introduction to the AMCHAM CSR Awards, its purpose, 2021 CSR Awards categories, and its roadmap. Sirikorn, (YUM International, Winner of 2020 AMCHAM CSR Special Awards), provided insight on the application process from an applicant’s point of view.  Prae provided in-depth information on the theme for this year -Strength in Diversity: Pandemic Resilience and the Power of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion, and Panomporn talked about the judging and screening process.

The event was followed by a question-and-answer session with the members. The Committee Leaders provided information on Frequently Asked Question (FAQs), commonly asked when applying for the CSR Awards such as who can fill-out the application form, the timeline of the CSR project, and the benefits of AMCHAM CSR Excellence Recognition.
