Foreign Chambers Alliance (FCA) Dinner

On Sept 28 the Foreign Chambers Alliance (FCA) and their respective Embassies met for the third time since June 2020 to discuss collaboration and ongoing issues affecting the business environment in Thailand. Special guests from the Japanese Chamber and Embassy joined this meeting to explore synergies.

The designates spoke about a wide range of topics such entry into Thailand for non-Thai businesspeople, investors, technicians and engineers, positive engagement with the Immigration Bureau, positive engagement with the Customs Department including addressing specific chamber member issues, commencement of a Clean Air initiative, and an exchange of views on Thailand’s economic and business prospects.

The FCA recently wrote to the Royal Thai Government with a “ten for ten” set of recommendation to improve the ease of doing business ranking for Thailand.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Michael George DeSombre, U.S. Embassy; John Breidenstine, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, U.S. Embassy; Greg Wong, President, AMCHAM Thailand; Heidi Gallant, Executive Director, AMCHAM Thailand and members of other Chambers and Embassies.
