Security

Mission: The Security Committee serves as a focal point for security related issues that concern the American business community in Thailand. In coordination with the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), other relevant US government agencies, and Thai authorities, the Committee strives to ensure that members are aware of potential threats to business operations and personal safety in the region.

2022 Accomplishments:

• The Security Committee maintained their relationship with ASIS Thailand which held events such as the Asia Security Exchange 2022 on Unifying Public and Private Partnerships to Improve Security Prevention and Protection as well as a Partner Networking and Get Together Session.

About the Committee: In 2023, the Security Committee will continue to produce or partner on events to keep AMCHAM members abreast of key security issues and developments, as well as engage with OSAC for future collaboration. In addition, the Committee is considering providing regular written security updates via AMCHAM communications.
