About the Committee
Mission. The Digital Economy can be defined as all economic activity mediated by soft-ware and enabled by telecoms infrastructure and services. The Digital Economy Committee addresses topics relevant to the underlying technology enabling this activity, as well as to regulatory issues affecting the Digital Economy and its intersection with other economic sectors. The committee helps keep Chamber members up to date on these topics, inviting speakers and organizing events. Committee meetings provide a forum for the development of Chamber positions on relevant regulatory issues, often with the opportunity to participate in direct discussion with government officials. Participation in the committee also provides an opportunity for members to learn from each other through the sharing of ideas, knowledge, and experience. The committee seeks to support the role of the Digital Economy in enabling universal participation in Thailand’s social and economic enterprise by all stakeholders.
