Roundtable Working Meeting with the Pollution Control Department (PCD)

On January 29, AMCHAM Executive Director Heidi Gallant led a delegation of AMCHAM members in a meeting with Mr. Taweechai Jiaranaikhajorn, Director of the Waste Minimization Sub-division, along with senior officials.

During the meeting, AMCHAM received updates on the Department’s progress in sustainable packaging management, including future goals for plastic reduction and recycling, as well as initiatives aligned with the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework. Both parties also discussed collaborations for the Corporate Impact Awards, raising awareness of the Department’s missions within the AMCHAM business community.

AMCHAM reaffirmed its commitment to collaborate closely with the Department, offering member expertise and practical insights to support the development of environmentally sound, socially responsible, and business-feasible approaches to waste management and sustainable packaging.
