Roundtable Meeting with the Ministry of Commerce
On January 6, AMCHAM President Chatit Huayhongtong of Chevron led a delegation to meet with H.E. Pichai Naripthaphan, Minister of Commerce, and senior officials from key departments.
Minister Pichai outlined his priorities to boost Thailand’s GDP, promote ease of doing business, ensure legal compliance, and advance Free Trade Agreements negotiations. The discussion included the Thailand–U.S. Trade and Investment Conference 2025, with the Ministry confirming its role as an organizing partner.
AMCHAM also presented its Five to Thrive 2025 framework, focusing on regulatory improvements to attract foreign direct investment and green initiatives. The Minister welcomed the alignment with the Ministry’s agenda and expressed support for collaboration on sustainable growth.
Additional topics included trade agreements and extending the Generalized System of Preference program to enhance export competitiveness.
The meeting reinforced the strong partnership between AMCHAM and the Ministry, emphasizing shared commitments to advancing U.S.–Thailand trade and investment.
