Roundtable Meeting with the Customs Department

On October 2, AMCHAM Vice President Wiyada Srinaganand of 3M Thailand led an AMCHAM delegation and the Co-Chairs of Customs and Excise Council in a meeting with Director-General Theeraj Athanavanich and his team.

They discussed key issues, including duty suspension for appeals, amendments to entry processes, and  matters related totransfer pricing adjustments and data exchange. AMCHAM proposed  initiatives such as corporate guarantees for payment deferrals, simplified entry  procedures, and knowledge-sharing sessions on transfer pricing and Customs-Free Zone regulations. The Customs Department was receptive to these concerns. Both parties agreed to form small working groups to address technical issues  collaboratively and improve trade facilitation.
