The Governors’ Table: Eastern Seaboard
On September 2 at the Holiday Inn Pattaya, AMCHAM hosted its third The Governors’ Table. This was the first held in the Eastern Seaboard. AMCHAM’s Board Governors, David Nardone of WHA and Gregory Bastien of American Axle & Manufacturing were hosts for the evening. At the start of the event, Greg Bastien spoke about AMCHAM’s pivot to online events that makes it easier to stay connected with old peers and make new connections. He also mentioned that he finds making trips between Bangkok and Pattaya for AMCHAM events worth it and he would continue to take these. He really enjoyed AMCHAM online events and believes that many other companies in the Eastern Seaboard agree with him. David echoed Greg’s thoughts and highlighted the strong connection between companies in the ESB and AMCHAM.
This was an opportunity for members to connect with AMCHAM Board Governors in an intimate dinner setting and to connect with other members. The event was limited to 20 guests to allow meaningful conversations and space considerations for social distancing. Guests were given AMCHAM goody bags with GQ face masks and shields. The social distancing measures provided a safe and comfortable atmosphere for Bangkok’s premiere business community to engage.
