On Aug 17, at the Thailand–U.S. Trade and Investment Summit 2026, the afternoon roundtable discussion on Powering Growth with a Trusted Digital Ecosystem, moderated by Jiradej Jaturavith, Government Affairs and Public Policy Lead for Google Cloud, Asia Pacific, brought together representatives from MDES, ETDA, BDI, DEPA, NCSA, TCCT, the Ministry of Energy, ERC, and EGAT, alongside private-sector perspectives.
The discussion focused on promoting responsible AI adoption, strengthening investor confidence, and creating a predictable regulatory environment that balances innovation, transparency, safety, and competitiveness. Participants also highlighted the need for coordinated investment in AI and digital infrastructure, including reliable, affordable, and renewable energy, power grid reliability, water supply management, cloud connectivity, and data centers.
Gaps in developing an AI-ready workforce and advancing practical public-private partnerships were also identified as key priorities for building a trusted, resilient, and globally competitive digital ecosystem.
