Roundtable Meeting with the Food and Drug Administration

On June 19, AMCHAM Board Governor Wiyada Srinaganand of 3M Thailand led the Co-Chairs of Healthcare and Food, Beverage, and Agribusiness Councils to meet with FDA Secretary General Supattra Boonserm, the Deputy Secretary General, and senior officials.

At the meeting, the Secretary General presented the FDA’s policy priorities to enhance services and strengthen consumer protection. The AMCHAM delegates expressed their appreciation for the FDA’s fast-track approval services, before discussing food and beverage regulations and the implementation of medical device policies.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on concrete collaboration opportunities, including knowledge sharing by AMCHAM member companies on advanced medical devices for FDA officials. This initiative aims to strengthen Thailand’s health product regulatory system, ensuring it remains adaptive, enhances national competitiveness, and safeguards public health and safety.
