AMCHAM Empowers Next Generation of Business Leaders at Exclusive Residential Program
The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) recently concluded its AMCHAM Academy Residential Program from May 15 to 17. This exclusive two-and-a-half-day event aimed to empower mid to senior tier management professionals from AMCHAM member companies by providing them with a unique platform to enhance their leadership skills, forge valuable business connections, and network with like-minded peers. AMCHAM Executive Director Heidi Gallant highlighted the program's objectives, stating, "The AMCHAM Academy Residential Program is designed to equip rising professionals from our member companies with the tools they need to excel in their careers. Additionally, the program offers exclusive access to industry experts for direct learning opportunities and the chance to build a long-lasting business network. We had an exceptional turnout in the program's inaugural year in a residential format and are thrilled to announce we will host it again next year."
The program featured a dynamic format of speaker-led presentations, engaging panel discussions, and dedicated networking sessions. Participants were immersed in a wealth of industry-specific insights, gaining valuable knowledge on topics such as responsible business practices, effective networking strategies, cultivating meaningful relationships, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and emerging economic and geopolitical trends.
The cohort represented diverse backgrounds and industries, including automotive, technology, fashion, legal, and more. All participants shared a common goal of enhancing their leadership capabilities, expanding their networks, and actively engaging in AMCHAM activities. Zach Heinecke, an Executive Trainee at Minor International, expressed his appreciation for the program's networking opportunities, stating, "I have gained new insights on the importance of cultivating a strong network, and I made numerous valuable connections during the program. I am also eager to contribute meaningfully and make a significant impact by participating in one of AMCHAM's 25 Committees."
Participating companies included AMCHAM's Exclusive Tier members such as 3M Thailand, Amata, American Axle Manufacturing, Caterpillar, Chevron, CP Group, DOW Thailand Group, Mastercard, Minor International, Netflix, NIST International School, PCS Security and Facility Services, Pfizer, RMA Group, Seagate, WHA Group, along with regular member companies like Asia Group Advisors, Bank of America, Jim Thompson, L’Oreal Thailand, Novartis, and Tilleke & Gibbins. In addition, notable institutions such as the Board of Investment, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Federation of Thai Industries, Thai Chamber of Commerce, were also a part of the 2023 cohort.
