Virtual Membership Meeting with the Department of Trade Negotiations 

On Mar 30, AMCHAM Trade and Investment Committee Co-Chair, Nirut Kunnawat of Novegion Consulting and Services, welcomed Minister, Permanent Mission of Thailand to the WTO and WIPO (Bangkok Office) under Ministry of Commerce Rachavitch Piyapramote to AMCHAM Virtual Membership Meeting. 

During the meeting, Minister Rachavitch presented several updates on trade negotiations including Thailand’s Free Trade Agreement (FTAs), Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF), as well as Thailand’s APEC priorities in 2023. 

During the question-and-answer session, AMCHAM members were able to learn about Thailand’s perspective towards IPEF, the development of Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and more.
