Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Events Resource Page
Thailand’s host year will focus on charting a post-Covid-19 future for the Asia-Pacific region under the theme “Open. Connect. Balance.” AMCHAM is cooperating with APEC Thailand to provide AMCHAM members with detailed information on events hosted by APEC, APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), and other agencies with roles related to APEC. Members can refer to this resource page for upcoming and past events. - During the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW), APEC Leaders endorsed the following 2 documents:
- The APEC CEO Summit discussion covered a wide range of topics, ranging from economic and trade prospects to digital transformation – all issues that are integral to the promotion of inclusive growth and the well-being of the APAC community, under the “Embrace Engage Enable” theme. - At the 4th ABAC Meeting, participants approved the ABAC work program for 2023, around the theme of “Equity. Sustainability. Opportunity”. More information maybe found here.
- The Thai Government said the meetings represented a shared accomplishment of all APEC economies, working together to promote growth within the region; driven by the principles of the Bio-Circular Green (BCG) economy. The government’s take can be found here.
