Community Projects: Student Engagement - Personal Branding

On April 21, AMCHAM Thailand Foundation hosted Student Engagement: Personal Branding with 20 ATF scholarship recipients. AMCHAM Community Projects Council Co-Chair Wanvisa Komindr, Citibank; introduced guest speakers Santi Jitpichitchai, Ford Motor Company and Piamsook Sutthapreeda, Coach Masters Academy, who provided career advice to the students and the alumni.

Santi explained why purpose is such a crucial element for long-term sustainability at both the corporate and personal levels, and how Ford’s purpose has guided it throughout its 100 years of existence.  In addition, Santi said that students should be able to read, write, and speak English to enter today’s competitive market. Piamsook coached the attendees on how to find their career passion and asked them to carefully identify factors such as their purpose, identity, values, behavior, skills/preferences, and the environment of the organization in their next job search.  Piamsook also guided the participants on how to find self-fulfillment in their life through concepts like ikigai.

Students asked important questions on how to present themselves in HR interviews, optimize their LinkedIn profile, and how to define their career goals.
