AMCHAM signs MOU with TCEB

AMCHAM, together with AustCham, the British Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (BCCT) and the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC), have signed an MOU with the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), under the umbrella of the Foreign Chamber of Commerce Alliance.

The purpose of signing the MOU was to combine the efforts of TCEB and the members of the Foreign Chamber of Commerce Alliance to help promote the development Thailand's MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) business.

Mr. Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, President of Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) oversaw the event and stated, “The initial collaboration to mutually promote MICE business will mainly focus on hospitality service, because members of the FCA have long records of investment in Thailand, which have been running alongside their nationwide service businesses. Hence, they have eyed to extend collaboration with Thai government agencies, as they believe the endeavor will open a new door to operate MICE business in Thailand and ASEAN."

AMCHAM Thailand understands the vital importance that MICE has to many of our members and will be acting as an advocate by streamlining the process to make Thailand the most attractive industry possible in an increasingly competitive environment.
