Food, Beverage & Agribusiness

Mission: To represent the interests of AMCHAM organizations in the areas of food, beverage, agriculture, and agribusiness. To promote dialogue between the American food, beverage, agriculture and agribusiness community, Thai public and private sector decision makers and the Royal Thai Government.

2025 Highlights:

• Hosted a factory tour to Singha Brewery, providing members with a behind-the-scenes tour of one of Thailand’s largest beer production facilities.
• Produced a video conference with Dr. Saipin Chotivichien, Director of Nutrition Bureau, Department of Health; Han Yin Leong, Regional Senior Manager, Food Industry Asia (FIA); and Dr. Pichet Itkor, Secretary of the Federation of Thai Industries’ (FTI) Food & Beverage Industry Club to discuss regional and Thai initiatives in the area of public health and nutrition.
• Hosted a working meeting to discuss trends and regulatory updates affecting the food and beverage industry, and to determine Council
  priorities over 2025 and 2026.
• Jointly with the ESG Council, organized a video conference on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), sharing best practices in waste management as well as a look at how EPR principles have been implemented across the region, as Thailand prepares its draft Sustainable Packaging Management Act.
• Held a video conference on the fermentation frontier: unlocking Asia’s next one billion dollar food opportunity, with guest presenters Clément
  Santander, Anna Rellama, and Yukinori Kakishita of Arthur D. Little.
• Preparing an AMCHAM recommendation letter on the Departmental Notification re: Criteria, Method, and Condition for Ad-valorem Beverage Tax Payment.
