BOI Updates on LTR Visa Renewal
On September 24, the AMCHAM Legal Council welcomed Sanlaya Aksharamat of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) for a webinar on updates to Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa categories, privileges, and the upcoming five-year renewal process. The webinar outlined category-specific financial and non-financial requirements, application timelines, and supporting documents required for extension applications.
It also explained how to changing LTR visa categories, using the switch from Highly Skilled Professional to Wealthy Pensioner, as well as Digital Work Permit applications and TIESC services. The webinar concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, allowing participants to clarify aspects of the LTR visa program and related procedures. Through its Councils, AMCHAM remains committed to providing members timely regulatory updates and fostering dialogue that promotes smooth business operations in Thailand.

Corporate Membership is available to companies registered in Thailand. Corporate Members receive a listing in our Member Directory, the right to nominate up to 10 representatives, and 10 vouchers that may be used at our Member Luncheons (a value of THB 15,000). Members are entitled to one vote.
Entrance Fee: THB 10,000
Annual Dues: THB 39,900
ASSOCIATE STATUS
Associate Company Status is available for companies without registration in Thailand. Their application should be accompanied by registration where the company is headquartered. Associate Companies receive a listing in our Member Directory and the right to nominate 2 representatives. Associate Companies are not considered AMCHAM members and are not entitled to a vote.
Entrance Fee: THB 10,000
Annual Dues: THB 30,000
