AMCHAM Thailand Sets Strategic Goals

Bangkok, Thailand – January 16, 2025 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) recently convened its annual Strategy Session, bringing together its Board of Governors, Committee Chairs, and Council Leaders to define strategic goals and programming priorities for the upcoming year.
AMCHAM President Chatit Huayhongtong, President of Chevron Thailand, noted, “Following a successful 2024 with dynamic membership growth, an expanded policy platform, over 200 events, and strong external relationships, our 2025 strategy focuses on sustaining momentum, being the voice for American business with the Thai Government, and enhancing member services. We will continue leveraging leadership volunteerism to drive impactful programming and policy recommendations.”
The AMCHAM leadership team hosts events with industry experts on key business topics, focused on capacity building and knowledge sharing. Through events like Connecting for Corporate Impact, AMCHAM brings together professionals from member companies working in sustainability and corporate social responsibility. These events provide a platform to exchange best practices, build networks, and utilize AMCHAM committees and councils as resources for professional growth.
Key initiatives highlighted for 2025 include strengthening collaboration with the Royal Thai Government to promote a thriving business environment, expanding innovative event formats introduced in 2024—such as the Topgolf Foreign Chambers Open and New Member Brew and Buzz events—hosting the second annual Thai-U.S. Business Summit in partnership with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and expanding premium flagship events- AMCHAM Academy Residential, Corporate Impact Awards, and Governors’ Gala. Additionally, AMCHAM will support over 60 working group meetings on key topics including customs, tourism, healthcare, sustainability, tax and manufacturing. The Chamber also aims to grow the AMCHAM Thailand Foundation’s scholarship program to support disadvantaged Thai students.
AMCHAM’s seven hundred corporate members have an ongoing partnership with the Thai government to enhance Thailand’s competitiveness and ease of doing business through initiatives like the Five to Thrive. The Chamber remains committed to providing members with unparalleled networking, advocacy, and professional development opportunities.
