AMCHAM Thailand Unveils 2026 Vision, Celebrates 70 Years
Bangkok, Thailand – January 15, 2025 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) launched its 2026 strategy at its annual Strategy Session, bringing together its Board of Governors, and Committee and Council and Co-chairs. AMCHAM President Chatit Huayhongtong of Chevron emphasized a focus on sustaining momentum, championing American business interests with the Thai Government, and delivering enhanced member services. “We are committed to impactful programming and policy recommendations, driven by leadership volunteerism,” he said.
AMCHAM has 21 committees and councils, including a new Digital Governance Council, to address digital economy policy and a Digital Innovation & Enablement Committee to support capacity-building for members. Events organized by AMCHAM committees and councils provide a platform for knowledge-sharing, networking, and leveraging AMCHAM as a catalyst for professional growth.
In 2026, AMCHAM will celebrate its 70th anniversary with signature events and ongoing government engagement. Founded in 1956, AMCHAM represents U.S. business interests and strengthens U.S. – Thai economic ties. Over seven decades, AMCHAM members have driven skills development, facilitated technology transfer, and supported Thailand’s long-term growth. In 2026, AMCHAM will continue partnering with the Thai government to boost Thailand’s competitiveness through initiatives like the 2026 Forward Five.
AMCHAM will expand its Foundation’s reach this year to support more disadvantaged Thai students with university and vocational scholarships, further advancing education in Thailand.
The Chamber remains dedicated to providing premier networking, advocacy, and development opportunities for its 700 corporate members. The AMCHAM Board of Governors and committee leadership represent a diverse range of industries, bringing together experienced professionals from sectors such as energy, automotive, finance, technology, healthcare, education, and manufacturing.
