Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul Invites AMCHAM to Discuss Thailand’s Competitiveness
Bangkok – On October 20, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul met with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) to discuss ways to strengthen the Kingdom’s business environment and enhance Thailand’s competitiveness at both regional and global levels.
H.E. Anutin acknowledged AMCHAM’s vital role in promoting foreign direct investment and recognized the contribution of its member companies to the national economy. He appreciated AMCHAM members’ feedback from various industry sectors and emphasized that it would be considered in his administration’s policies creating a more favorable environment for sustainable business growth. Meanwhile, AMCHAM members welcomed the government’s efforts to advance regulatory reform through the regulatory guillotine initiatives.
During the meeting, AMCHAM was briefed on the new administration’s key economic priorities for the next four months. AMCHAM Vice President Ornkanya Pibuldham of Bank of America expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister’s leadership in driving Thailand’s economic progress. She reaffirmed AMCHAM’s commitment to working closely with government agencies to achieve shared goals.
The roundtable underscored the strong partnership between government and the private sector in driving the country’s economic future. Participants represented diverse industries, including technology, energy, finance, healthcare, food and agriculture, logistics, and education.
