Marketing and Communications

Mission: The Marketing and Communications Committee provides up-to-date marketing insights, education, and knowledge sharing for a cross-sector audience of AMCHAM members.

2022 Accomplishments:

• Recorded a roundtable video covering marketing trends for 2022, marketing during Covid-19, benefits of AMCHAM membership and the activities of the Committee.
• Jointly with the HR Committee, produced a webinar on ‘Applying Best Marketing and Communications Practices to HR’ with John DaSilva, MD for AMPOS Data & Technology Consulting was joined by Wisit Jirutitijaroen, Head of HR, Thailand & Vietnam, Johnson & Johnson.
• Hosted ‘By Marketers for Marketers’, a diverse and lively panel discussion featuring David Norcross, Founder of Lexicon; Sheena Flannery, Director Group Marketing, Healthcare and Consumer Goods at DKSH; Corrado Giaquinto, VP and GM Greater Indochina at Colgate Palmolive; Mayuree Aroonwaranon, Founder and CEO at GEPP Sa-Ard; and Zac Robinson, Director of Business Development at Tilleke and Gibbins.
• Hosted “Creating Content that Matters” event, featuring two prominent influencers from IT and beauty field, Sueching Jitsupa Chin and Netty Titiya Vichyanond, who shared their experiences on how to create engaging content, choices of channel, myths about content length, and how to build trust and partnership between brands and influencers.

About the Committee: In 2023, the Committee has committed to holding five events based upon the interests of the membership. These include both online and in-person events on topics such as social impact campaigns, B2B marketing, brand reputation and employer branding. The year will begin with an event with the Thailand Marketing Research Society on understanding Thai consumers.
