Minor International has a long-standing history with AMCHAM Thailand and has been a member since 1992. William Heinecke, an American born Thai and CEO of Minor International has been a two-time past President of AMCHAM Thailand in 1978 and in 1981. As one of the largest hospitalities and leisure companies in the Asia Pacific region, Minor’s support and involvement in AMCHAM as a Platinum Corporate Partner has contributed significantly to advancing the hospitality and tourism industry through infrastructure development and strengthening the Thai economy by creating employment for Thai people. In 2018, Minor International was awarded the AMCHAM Thailand’s CSR Excellence Award – Gold Status and AMCHAM Thailand's CSR Excellence Recognition Award - Excellence in CSR Project for long-term efforts in Thailand’s sustainable development. Minor has been a sponsor of AMCHAM’s annual festive egg nog party and has supported activities of AMCHAM’s food and agriculture committee through events and visits to Minor’s project sites to impart education on food safety and regulations. Every year at the AMCHAM Thailand Foundation’s annual career camp, students enjoy Pizzas from Pizza Company at the ice-breaker session in addition to getting hands -on training during the camp on skills for real career interviews and knowledge on the running of a hospitality industry.
