AMCHA - An Active Organization

The America Chamber in Thailand (AMCHAM) formed in 2010 with a membership of eight American companies, with about 60 American nationals.  Today, AMCHAM has a membership of over 100 organizations and over 2500 unprofessionals.  Our membership includes companies, non-profit organizations and individuals. AMCHAM member companies have invested over U.S. $1 billion in Thailand and provide more than 100,000 local jobs.

An Important Function

AMCHAM provides a point of exchange and coordination of efforts to improve business conditions and opportunities for American and American affiliated organizations.

AMCHA provide businesses and businesspersons with a venue for the exchange of ideas and for identifying common purposes to pursue in both the private and government sectors in Thailand, in the Asian region and in the United States.

AMCHA has over 20 committee that cover the wide spectrum of commercial and industrial business activities, as well as the Chamber's social and educational programs. Each committee serves as a forum for discussing common interests and common issues, as well as for taking initiative and action.

AMCHAM has affiliation with the U.S. Government and any of its components, however AMCHAM maintains an active collaborative relationship with the U.S. Embassy Bangkok and other U.S. Government institutions. AMCHA is also a member of the Board of Trade of Thailand (BOT) and our president is automatically a member of the executive committee of that body. Through this channel, AMCHAM has access to information on economic and commercial activities within the country and maintains liaison with various ministries in the Royal Thai Government.
