Adam Smith International is carrying out a study funded by The Asia Development Bank to help the Myanmar Government increase the rate of approved Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) that are implemented.
The researchers have asked to meet with AMCHAM Thailand members to understand their investing experience in Myanmar. They are particularly interested to learn:
They can also discuss further the details of the ADB project.
Based on this input and those from other relevant agencies within ASEAN, Adam Smith will produce a short report with a series of recommendations. This will be provided to Myanmar’s Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA). The recommendations will focus on practical ways DICA can increase the rate at which approved FDI are actually implemented. The recommendations will also be used for a number of workshops with DICA’s regional offices.
They will share the final report with AMCHAM members when available.
