HR Cmte: A Story of Employee and Work Engagement

Putting the Pieces Together: A Story of Employee and Work Engagement

The word “engagement” gets thrown around so much that now it has near mythical status. But what does it really mean? In this lively and vibrant session, our speakers will share facts, figures and their real-world experiences about both employee and workplace engagement. Contrary to popular belief, they are not the same thing, and will leave you with a fresh new perspective about how to increase engagement in your workplace.

Our speakers:

Albert Valentine – Ph.D. Candidate, Organization Development at Assumption University

Albert’s dissertation looks at the effects of Transformational Leadership on work engagement focusing on Thailand-headquartered MNCs. His work has ranged from governmental service to corporate consulting to NGOs and he is a certified NLP master coach.

Noah Shepherd – Global Value Stream Director for Stanley Black & Decker

Noah is responsible for end-to-end manufacturing for construction hand tools in the USA, France, Thailand and China. Noah has lived in Thailand since 1993 and joined StanleyBlack&Decker in 2012 as GM for their plant in Chachoengsao and more recently as Director of Manufacturing for Southeast Asia.
