This Month we are delighted to welcome the Minister of Industry, Dr. Uttama Savanayana, Ph.D., as guest speaker at our August monthly luncheon. He will speak to members on Thailand 4.0, the government’s policy priorities, investment opportunities, and ease of doing business.

Dr. Uttama Savanayana, Ph.D., appointed as Minister, Ministry of Industry Thailand on December 16, 2016

He served as Advisor to The Prime Minister for Digital, Information and Communication Technology in August till early December 2016 and served as Minister, Ministry of Information and Communication Technology Thailand from 2015-2016. And moreover he also served as Managing Director of Thai Prosperity Advisory Co., Ltd. Dr. Savanayana served as a Director of Business Development at GE Capital (Thailand) Co., Ltd. He served as a Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Siam City Bank Public Company Limited. He served as an Independent Director of Big C Supercenter Public Company Ltd. from April 30, 2012 to August 17, 2015.

Dr. Savanayana holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from School of Management, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, USA, and Master Degree in Finance & International Business from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA and a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from Brown University, USA.
