Jan 8 - Extra Procurement of Covid-19 Vaccine

  • The Cabinet acknowledged the procurement of two million doses of Covid-19 vaccine from Sinovac Biotech, a Chinese biopharmaceutical company. The Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) will be in charge of delivering the vaccine doses, while the Department of Disease Control (DDC) will look after the vaccine's procurement and its distribution to the public. Dec 18 - Chulalongkorn University to Raise Money to Produce Covid-19 Vaccine

  • Chulalongkorn University will launch a campaign to raise money for a domestically developed Covid-19 vaccine factory. It aims to raise 500 million Baht from one million donors. The public can make contributions at all Krung Thai Bank branches under the "Vaccine for Thai People" project or by scanning the QR code in the www.CUEnterprise.co.th site which is expected to go live on December 18.

Dec 4 - Arrival Quarantine Now Available as Hotel Packages

  • The Ministry of Public Health and Agoda joined hands to develop an online booking platform, allowing international arrivals to reserve their quarantine accomodation at certified Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) facilities.
  • This made Thailand the first country to provide quarantine arrangements as accommodation packages for arrivals. Read more....
