Mr. Arin Jira, Council Member and Former Chairman of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council to speak on “ASEAN Economic Community 2015…Threats or Opportunities”.

Mr. Arin has vast experience in international and local manufacturing/trading industries in addition to his experience in Federation of Thai Industries and ASEAN Business Advisory Council.

He will share his views on the move toward the 2015 goal to create a single market and production base by the ten economies of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). He will discuss whether we should be aware of the difficulties this union will bring in terms of increasingly painful competition or it would appear the benefits could far outweigh the potential downside. Also, he will address challenges, including discrepancies with national and regional laws, rules and regulations with a clear notion that national interests are bound to prevail over collective interests.
