STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Each year AMCHAM provides needy Thai students from rural universities in Thailand with financial support to complete their university undergraduate studies. The Community Projects Committee works directly with programs at universities that may be of interest to AMCHAM member companies, including but not limited to mathematics, chemistry, computer science, engineering and tourism.

In addition to financial support, AMCHAM sponsors an annual field trip to Bangkok and organizes events for the students to introduce themselves to AMCHAM member companies through a variety of activities including facility visits, career planning sessions and mock interviews

Over the past 30-plus years, AMCHAM’s Scholarship Program has provided support to more than 1,200 students. AMCHAM's scholarships are made possible through fund-raising activities organized by the Community Projects Committee and direct membership donations. Activities include the Installation Ball silent auction, Charity Golf Tournaments, and the American Independence Day Picnic.
