New US Tax Reform Legislation
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that was passed at the end of 2017 and became law at the beginning of 2018 is quite extensive. What does it include? What doesn’t it include? And how does it affect your bottom line? At our next meeting, Matthew Stevens, Director International Tax Thailand, US Global Tax Limited will discuss how the TCJA impacts Americans doing business in Thailand.
Matthew Stevens is Director, International Tax Thailand at US Global Tax Limited. Matthew began preparing US tax returns as a part-time job when he was in college nearly 15 years ago. Since then, his experience and expertise on the US tax code has grown dramatically, especially after 2010 when Matthew officially began representing taxpayers in front of the IRS as an Enrolled Agent. Having worked with taxpayers from a variety of industries, ranging from real estate to manufacturing to finance, Matthew’s analytical and adaptive techniques can help international taxpayers comply with and benefit from the US tax code no matter the level of complexity.
Matthew has Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master’s of Business Administration Degree from California State University, Long Beach. As an avid world traveller, Matthew is passionate about helping fellow world citizens of US origin become compliant with the tax authorities no matter their circumstances or situation.
