|Details: Since 2007, AMCHAM’s CSR Excellence (ACE) Recognition Program has honored member organizations that create long-term economic and social benefits in their Thailand communities. Over the years, the program has grown in size and notoriety. In 2007, two companies received ACE recognition. In 2016, AMCHAM honored 62 member companies that carried out exemplary Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and awarded four awards.|
This year, the CSR Committee is pleased to announce that, in addition to the AMCHAM CSR Excellence (ACE) Recognition, the AMCHAM Board has added three awards to help recognize the good work of AMCHAM member companies.
The first award is a “Best Project” award for AMCHAM members, which will be awarded to one winner, highlighting the best CSR project.
In addition, two special awards will be added, including the “Excellence in Partnership” award, which will highlight projects that focus on U.S.-based partnerships, bringing U.S. knowledge, expertise or best practices to Thailand.
The final award will be the “Excellence in Promoting Thailand 4.0” award, which will focus on showcasing project excellence in supporting Thailand’s 4.0 strategy.
The highly successful and sought after “Thai-U.S. Creative Partnership Designation” will also remain and be awarded to qualifying member companies.
To qualify for an ACE recognition, a firm’s CSR program must receive high-marks in five key criteria:
- Attention to business objectives and societal needs;
- Creation of long-term economic and social gains;
- Communication and sharing of best practices;
- Measurable project impact; and
- Program sustainability.
If your company has been recognized in years past, now is the time to begin planning a repeat performance for higher levels of recognition – silver, gold, or platinum – based upon the number of consecutive years recognized. If you are a new member or you have never applied for a CSR recognition, come to this meeting to learn how you can do so.
The submission process is not difficult, but it does involve some forethought and planning. At this month’s meeting, the CSR Committee will introduce the revised ACE Recognition process for 2017. If you have the least inclination to participate, it is recommended to send a representative to the CSR Committee meeting on May 25 at the AMCHAM office.
Note that your representative can be anyone you authorize -- your CSR maven or savvy PA included. Simply register them or send their names to Khun Kittie at firstname.lastname@example.org so she will know how many to expect at the meeting.
Reservations not cancelled within 2 business day of the event will be charged as a no-show and invoiced . If the event falls on a Monday or is preceded by a holiday, cancellation is required by the previous business day.
