In a joint meeting with interested AMCHAM guests from the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP, www.owasp.org), Thailand, Chapter, Mr. Bass will review the 2008 top 10 cybersecurity threats and facilitate an open discussion on these threats, including how these cybersecurity threats could impact AMCHAM members.
Tim Bass, CISSP, was featured in Popular Science Magazine (WAR.COM, July 1999) in an article related to his work on Internet security and cyberattack countermeasures for the USAF. He is internationally recognized as a thought leader in complex event processing (CEP), Internet security, next-generation intrusion detection and distributed multi-sensor data fusion architectures. He served as Principal Consultant for Network-Centric Architecture and Security, HQ USAF, Office of the CIO, and the Principal Consultant for Net-Centric Operations, United States Department of Defense (DOD), Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Principal Consultant for Networks and Network Security, United States Air Force (USAF), Air Combat Command (ACC). He also served as the Principal Consultant for Network Security, Y2K Turnover, the United States Department of Energy (DoE) and a Principal Consultant for Information Dissemination Management (IDM), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as well as a Principal Internet Security Consultant for SWIFT, Chase Manhattan Bank and the Swiss Bank Corporation. He is currently serving at the OWASP Thailand Chapter Leader and EVP for ACIS Professional Center.
